Tech Where You Are
I took handwritten notes at CLOC's 2026 Global Institute.*
In a room full of people talking about AI and automation, I took handwritten notes.
I wasn't the only one--many had journals and notebooks to capture the week's ideas.
People--and a lot of Millennials and Gen Z--are burning out on technology.
We're craving analog. Whiteboards. Notebooks. Conversations without screens. Normal (old school) phone calls. Dumb (or brick) phones.
Maybe innovation isn't more tech.
Maybe it's intentional use.
Maybe its systemic enablement and meeting humans where they are.
Maybe its digital systems for humans who need analog breaks.
*I now take notes, by hand, on my iPad in Good Notes. I prefer handwritten notes. I sometimes start drafts of briefs by hand. My brain thinks better. My digital version, on my iPad, is an example of using tech to meet me where I am.
