NALP Panel
I pride myself on being candid—open and vulnerable.
Yesterday was no exception.
If I want to be a leader in the law, I cannot sugarcoat the complexities and often difficult parts of the journey.
If I want to be a leader in the law, I must also lead by example, modeling that you can achieve your goals and dreams in an authentic, genuine, sustainable way.
It is a true privilege to be a commercial litigator at Husch Blackwell. I love the work.
It is also a true privilege to speak with hope and optimism—and a healthy dose of reality—from the trenches of big law.
Yesterday, I got to speak on a panel about just these concepts. I left joyful and renewed in the mission.
Thank you to my wonderful co-panelists, Jennifer Gillman and Jordana Confino, for creating a space for lawyers and law students to thrive, and for supporting my efforts to be an example of what is possible when you try to put your mental health and wellbeing first.
And, thank you, NALP, for a truly incredible conference. From redefining what ownership looks like (for associates), to climbing to the c-suite (for women), I am so grateful I got the chance to spend time with the best in your space.
Until next time. ✌🏻♥️🔥
