Legal Project Management
Legal Project Management (LPM)--a tool to bring order, value, and predictability to your legal work.
In 2026, my growth mindset goal is focused on legal ops and legal project management.
Some are or will become sick of me talking about this, but it is something deeply aligned with some of my core strengths.
Finding this topic and the mindsets within it have renewed a sense of joy and optimism in how I practice.
As client expectations shift, AI takes hold, and legal work grows more complex, LPM is quickly becoming a core part of how I manage teams, run files, and build a book of business.
LPM isn’t just about efficiency or process for its own sake.
It’s about front-end planning, clear objectives, and measurable outcomes.
It’s about mapping the work, scoping projects, building the right team, and keeping everyone in the loop.
The goal?
Minimize surprises and maximize value by delivering high-quality legal work, on time and on budget, with fewer headaches for everyone involved.
For clients, that means more predictability, better communication, and a focus on outcomes (not just hours).
For teams, it means clarity, accountability, and a chance to do your best work--together.
And, for me, it means building a practice that’s not just profitable, but sustainable and rewarding.
Over the coming months, I’ll share how I’m using LPM to drive results for clients, empower my team, and rethink what it means to be a modern partner and litigator.
If you’re curious about how project management can transform legal work, or if you have lessons to share, I’d love to connect.
