AI Output
AI output is only as good as the input. No, my hourly* rate won't go down, as I embrace AI. Why? One example: my prompts are guided by my experience.**
I'm able to use AI and leverage it because of my 13 years experience in legal research and writing, because of my 10 years in private practice and big law, and because I've been involved in 3 jury trials, led a federal trial team through the final pre-trial conference, participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations, taken/defended many depositions, and more.
As a result?
My AI prompts are better.
My AI outputs are better.
My analysis of those AI outputs is better.
Am I more effiecient because of AI? Yes.
Are my teams more efficient because of AI? Yes.
The discount comes in fewer hours billed back to you, the client.
My experience does not come at a discount.
*I've created three AFA (alternative fee arrangement) products that I'm pitching to my firm. So, don't come at me about billing by the hour. I hear you. I get it. I'm all in. And: the hourly model isn't going anywhere. Both can be and are true.
**My prompts are also guided by the continuous learning and growth mindset I apply to AI--regular training, research, and reading.
