Confidence in our Systems

Always, and

Now, maybe more than ever, at least in my lifetime,

This provision of the preamble to our ethics rules matters, a lot.

Lawyers are called to uphold ethical standards,

and more.

As we face our nation's 250th,

And everything else going on in the chaos that is modern life in our country and the world,

I encourage lawyers to revisit these callings.

And that is what it is: a calling to do more, to be better, to ensure our institutions are upheld, improved, and understood.
