2026, Intentionally

2026, Intentionally

As 2026 begins, I’m reflecting on what it truly takes to build a sustainable, high-impact career in big law—one that delivers for clients, develops teams, and protects my wellbeing for the long haul.

Last year was transformative: I led a trial team through “bet-the-company” litigation, deepened my partnerships with in-house counsel and business leaders, and doubled down on authentic thought leadership.

The most consistent reminder?

It’s not just about hours billed or cases handled—it’s about building trust, elevating others, and sharing what actually works (and what doesn’t).

My 2026 intentions:

🌟 Compound the small wins: Focus on daily, consistent actions that drive results for my clients, my team, and my practice.

🌟 Invest in the next generation: Mentor and sponsor emerging lawyers, including through my podcast, The Grace Period.

🌟 Innovate for impact: Leverage AI, legal tech, and process discipline to deliver clarity, efficiency, and measurable value.

🌟 Lead with candor: Listen deeply, ask better questions, and share honestly about the realities—and rewards—of building a sustainable practice.

🌟 Prioritize learning and continued growth: Invest in advanced training, online courses, and business books to fuel innovation, sharpen my legal and leadership skills, and drive meaningful growth for my clients and practice.

Here’s to a year of intentional, sustainable growth—for ourselves, our clients, and the future of law.
